Luke 9:7-9
Herod the tetrarch had heard about all that was being done by Jesus; and he was puzzled, because some people were saying that John had risen from the dead, others that Elijah had reappeared, still others that one of the ancient prophets had come back to life.
But Herod said, ‘John? I beheaded him. So who is this I hear such reports about?’ And he was anxious to see Jesus.

- No powerful political leader e.g. King Herod in the secular world can squash the Truth of God’s Good News of salvation. He will eventually fail.
- No one can stop the Word of God from spreading. No one can stop our almighty God’s Will to save all peoples because the power of the Holy Spirit will continue to work in the hearts of everyone.
- We need to have the faith and courage of John the Baptist, who gave his life preaching the Truth of the Word of God to fight the evils of this world.
