Daily Word Of God

John 16:12-15

Jesus said to his disciples: ‘I still have many things to say to you but they would be too much for you to bear now. However, when the Spirit of truth comes he will lead you to the complete truth, since he will not be speaking of his own accord, but will say only what he has been told; and he will reveal to you the things to come.

‘He will glorify me, since all he reveals to you will be taken from what is mine. Everything the Father has is mine; that is why I said: all he reveals to you will be taken from what is mine.’

Today's Pointers on God's Word

As you read the passage what words, phases or meanings caught your attention?

  • It is very challenging to live the Christian faith in today’s secular world. We often face objections, rejections and trials for being faithful to the teachings of Jesus. Jesus knows it is not easy for us to understand and accept His Truth.

  • However, the consolation is that Jesus promises to send the Holy Spirit to guide, lead and give us strength to live our Christian faith and to witness to His Truth in our daily living.

  • Pray that the Holy Spirit will continue to enlighten and help us to persevere and to deepen our relationship with God daily.
