Daily Word Of God

Matthew 18:12-14

Jesus said to his disciples: ‘Tell me. Suppose a man has a hundred sheep and one of them strays; will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hillside and go in search of the stray?

‘In truth I tell you, if he finds it, it gives him more joy than do the ninety-nine that did not stray at all. Similarly, it is never the will of your Father in heaven that one of these little ones should be lost.’

Today's Pointers on God's Word

As you read the passage what words, phases or meanings caught your attention?

  • Jesus came to serve, to save all peoples from sin and to offer them eternal life; this includes you and me.

  • When we repent for our sins and be reconciled with God, all the saints in heaven rejoice because they long for everyone to join them in their eternal happiness with God.

  • Do we forgive others as God’s Will of us? If we do, we will surely find peace in our hearts and homes.  But, if we harbour hurts and allow our anger to build up within us, then we are courting the danger of breaking valuable relationships.  What is God saying to you today?
