Reflection on the WORD
“Keeping God’s Word” – Faith: In today’s Gospel, Jesus proclaimed that “Keeping God’s Word is of utmost importance in our lives. Our whole life, will be specially Blessed by God through such fidelity. Ponder on, “Do we lose focus when we are praying on the Good News of Salvation?Commitment to building a prayer life deepens our relationship with God.”
Luke 11:27-28
As Jesus was speaking, a woman in the crowd raised her voice and said, ‘Blessed the womb that bore you and the breasts that fed you!’
But he replied, ‘More blessed still are those who hear the word of God and keep it!’

Today's Pointers on God's Word
As you read the passage what words, phases or meanings caught your attention?
- Upon hearing the woman’s words, one would expect Jesus to pause and say something kind about His mother Mary. Instead Jesus said the unexpected, a very pointed word that underlines His teaching -- that only full commitment to God suffices.
- Whatever our interests and needs in life including those of our family’s, God’s Will and Truth should take precedence when we are in a dilemma.
-
To be Jesus' disciples we are called to be fully committed to living His Truth regardless of the painful challenges and sacrifices that are demanded of us. When we put God first in our lives, God will ensure that everything will fall into place.
