Reflection on the WORD
Faith’s Foundation: In today’s Gospel, Jesus reminds His disciples that their faith in the Good News of Salvation must be built on actions, and not remain as empty words. Ponder on: The witness of our faith in Jesus strengthens our relationship with Him. How do we “witness” to our love for Jesus, in our daily living; and especially during trials in our life?
Matthew 7:21, 24-27
Jesus said to his disciples: ‘It is not anyone who says to me, “Lord, Lord,” who will enter the kingdom of Heaven, but the person who does the will of my Father in heaven.
‘Therefore, everyone who listens to these words of mine and acts on them will be like a sensible man who built his house on rock. Rain came down, floods rose, gales blew and hurled themselves against that house, and it did not fall: it was founded on rock. But everyone who listens to these words of mine and does not act on them will be like a stupid man who built his house on sand. Rain came down, floods rose, gales blew and struck that house, and it fell; and what a fall it had!’

Today's Pointers on God's Word
As you read the passage what words, phases or meanings caught your attention?
- · Reading, studying and having knowledge about the Word of God is good, but more importantly Jesus is asserting that we need to live the Truth of the Word of God in concrete deeds.
- · As actions speak louder than words, our deeds of love are more important than our refine words of love.
- · If we love God and believe in His revealed Truth, then likewise, our faith must be deeply rooted in God such that everything we do and live for in life is for His Greater Glory.
