Jesus as Saviour: In today’s Gospel, Jesus teaches in the Temple that Christ is our Messiah, Lord and Saviour. Ponder on: The gift of faith is beyond our human logical thinking. However, our faith will enlighten us to live our daily lives with greater meaning, direction and goal; so that we can live an Eternal Life of Happiness with God.

Mark 12:35-37
While teaching in the Temple, Jesus said, ‘How can the scribes maintain that the Christ is the son of David? David himself, moved by the Holy Spirit, said: The Lord declared to my Lord, take your seat at my right hand till I have made your enemies your footstool. David himself calls him Lord; in what way then can he be his son?’ And the great crowd listened to him with delight.

- Jesus asserts that He is not only the Messiah of David's son but also His Lord. What does this mean?
- When we pledge that Jesus is our Lord, we are inviting Him to be the centre of our lives and to free us from our sins. Only Jesus can free us to love, as God intends us to love, from the beginning.
- Is Jesus the true King of your heart in every areas of your life? Do you willingly allow His Spirit and His Teachings to be your “rule” and guide as you try to discern the way you live daily?
