Reflection on the WORD

Relationships – Faith: In today’s Gospel, Jesus’ relations were preventing Him from meeting the crowds, as they did not recognise that He is the Messiah.  Ponder on: Do we find certain close relationshipshindering us from living and witnessing our Catholic faith?  If so, have courage and serve God our Father’s Will at all times.

Mark 3:20-21

Jesus went home, and such a crowd collected that they could not even have a meal. When his relations heard of this, they set out to take charge of him; they said, ‘He is out of his mind.’

  • ·      When Jesus met with opposition, even from his kin, He was determined to fulfill his Father's Will. Are you ready to give up your comfort zones to follow Jesus in times of opposition and adversity?
  • ·      Do you put God first and find joy in doing His will, even when you face opposition and adversities from family members and loved ones? 
  • ·      To follow Jesus’ Ways and His Father’s Will, we must have faith and trust that through the power of the Holy Spirit, God will reign through us in spite of the challenges we face.
