Reflection on the WORD
God’s Comforting Love: In today’s Gospel, Jesus proclaims a God who never fails to embrace us in His Comforting Love. Ponder on: In the challenges, trials and tribulations in our lives, has there been any person, regardless of their closeness to us, who is able to give us the ‘Comforting Love’ that God gives us?
Matthew 11:28-30
Jesus exclaimed: ‘Come to me, all you who labour and are overburdened, and I will give you rest. Shoulder my yoke and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. Yes, my yoke is easy and my burden light.’

Today's Pointers on God's Word
As you read the passage what words, phases or meanings caught your attention?
- •The daily living in the secular world is hectic and stressful. If we continue to live in such a routine, our life may end up being empty and aimless.
- •Ponder on the pattern of your daily life and try to identify some life-giving ways i.e. Christ-like ways, of living, working and relating to people.
- •If we learn to thank God for His daily blessings, we will truly find that our “burdens are light.” This is because God is shouldering our burdens with and for us and none can be “too heavy” for Him.
