Reflection on the WORD
Holy Spirit of Faith: In today’s Gospel, Jesus assures His disciples, “The Holy Spirit will teach you everything and remind you of all I have said to you.” Ponder on: When we obey God’s Commandments, it is the Holy Spirit’s Light and Truth that makes them happen. Continue to listen and obey God’s Will that can be found within your hearts.
John 14:21, 23-26
Jesus said to his disciples: ‘Anybody who receives my commandments and keeps them will be the one who loves me; and anybody who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I shall love him and show myself to him.
‘If anyone loves me he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we shall come to him and make our home with him. Those who do not love me do not keep my words. And my word is not my own: it is the word of the one who sent me. I have said these things to you while still with you; but the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you everything and remind you of all I have said to you.’

- •Jesus speaks to His disciples of the inseparable, equal and perfect bond of love between Himself, the Father and the Spirit that exist from all eternity.
- •True love in any relationship is more than sentiments or good intentions. True love for God is expressed in obedience to the Father’s Will. Jesus taught His disciples how to follow this path of loving obedience.
- •Jesus promises us that the Holy Spirit as Counselor and Helper will at all times see us safely through the challenges and adversities of our life. Do you have any experience of this?
