Reflection on the WORD
Sheep and Shepherd – Faith: In today’s Gospel, Jesus proclaimed, “The sheep that belong to Me listen to My Voice; I give them Eternal Life.” Ponder on: With much temptations in the materialistic and secular world, do we ‘listen and discern’ to Jesus’, our Shepherd’s Voice, attentively and faithfully?
John 10:27-30
Jesus said:
‘The sheep that belong to me listen to my voice;
I know them and they follow me.
I give them eternal life;
they will never be lost
and no one will ever steal them from me.
The Father, who gave them to me, is greater than anyone,
and no one can steal from the Father.
The Father and I are one.’

- •Jesus gives two comforting re-assurances in today’s Gospel passage: (i) I know my sheep, and (ii) no one will ever steal them from My hand.
- •Jesus is so fully committed to protect all us, his followers that He is willing to die that we may be saved from eternal suffering. Are we aware of the protective and caring love that Jesus the Good Shepherd has for us personally?
- •Let us pray that we all will continue to listen to the voice of Jesus and follow Him at all times so that we are not led astray in our pursuits in life.
