Reflection on the WORD
Humble Service: In today’s Gospel, Jesus washed the feet of all His disciples, including Judas’ who betrayed Him to His Death. Jesus then proclaimed, “No servant is greater than his master”; so be humble servants of the Good News to one another and all peoples. Are we humble and faithful servants of Jesus?

John 13:16-20
After he had washed the feet of his disciples, Jesus said to them: ‘I tell you modst solemnly, no servant is greater than his master, no messenger is greater than the one who sent him.
‘Now that you know this, happiness will be yours if you behave accordingly. I am not speaking about all of you: I know the ones I have chosen; but what scripture says must be fulfilled: Someone who shares my table rebels against me.
‘I tell you this now, before it happens, so that when it does happen you may believe that I am He. I tell you most solemnly, whoever welcomes the one I send, welcomes me, and whoever welcomes me, welcomes the one who sent me.’

Today's Pointers on God's Word
As you read the passage what words, phases or meanings caught your attention?
- •We are still in the Easter Season. We carry God’s Spirit within us where ever we go and in whatever happens to us including the pains of life.
- •We have Jesus’ assurance that if we “welcome Him into our lives” more fully, we will be His messengers of His Resurrection of True Hope to all peoples including ourselves, especially in difficult times.
- •Is there a greater assurance and surer hope in life than to have the Risen Christ within us? Ponder on this truth and try to sense how God’s Spirit is challenging you in your present life.
