Reflection on the WORD
“Love One Another”: In today’s Gospel, Jesus proclaimed to His disciples, “Love one another as I have loved you.” Jesus’ Love is a “sacrificial love” that willingly dies for us. How much sacrifice are we willing to make in our love for Jesus? Pray for the wisdom to witness Jesus’ Sacrificial Love.
John 13:31-33a, 34-35
When Judas had gone, Jesus said: ‘Now has the Son of man been glorified, and in him God has been glorified. If God has been glorified in him, God will in turn glorify him in himself, and will glorify him very soon. Little children, I shall be with you only a little longer.
‘I give you a new commandment: love one another; you must love one another just as I have loved you. It is by your love for one another, that everyone will recognise you as my disciples.’

Today's Pointers on God's Word
As you read the passage what words, phases or meanings caught your attention?
- •Jesus relates to His disciples with much gentleness and love, for He knows how difficult it is for them to accept and be faithful to the Truth that He teaches. He addresses them as “Little Children”
- •To be disciple of Christ, the Love of God and showing this love to one another through humble service is its foundation. Then, Jesus says, we will be “glorifying” Him and His Father.
- •We are all called to “glorify” God through our daily living. Have your lifestyles and relationships with people glorified God? Will you continue to do so? How is the Lord challenging us to glorify Him and His Father?
