Reflection on the WORD
Prayers: In today’s Gospel, Jesus assures His disciples that no prayer would go unheard and unattended. God will answer all our prayers. Have you experienced such abundant blessings? If our hearts are deeply in union with Jesus, we will experience this daily through the surrender of our will to God’s Will.
Lk 11:9-13
Jesus said to his disciples: ‘So I say to you: Ask, and it will be given to you; search, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; everyone who searches finds; everyone who knocks will have the door opened.
‘What father among you, if his son asked for a fish, would hand him a snake? Or if he asked for an egg, hand him a scorpion? If you then, evil as you are, know how to give your children what is good, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!’

Today's Pointers on God's Word
As you read the passage what words, phases or meanings caught your attention?
- Today’s Gospel tells us of God’s infinite and unconditional love for us. The Lord is ever ready to give us not only what we need, but also gives us more than we expect.
- As for us, are our faith, hope and love for God “unconditional”? When we seek Him, do we really want to live His Will or are we only listening and heeding what are within our comfort zones?
- With the Holy Spirit within us, giving us strength, we can live a more Christ-like life and witness to the Good News of Christ in our daily living. Be assured of this; pray that this will be a reality from today.
