Reflection on the WORD
Jesus Ministry of Healing: In todays Gospel, the great crowds were all wanting to touch Jesus, so as to be cured of their illness and possessions of unclean spirits. Ponder on: When we desire to know and love Jesus more personally, He will surely heal us of our physical, emotional and spiritual illnesses; according to His Fathers Will and Ways.
Mark 3:7-12
Jesus withdrew with his disciples to the lakeside, and great crowds from Galilee followed him. From Judaea, and from Jerusalem, and from Idumaea and Transjordan and the region of Tyre and Sidon, great numbers who had heard of all he was doing came to him.
And he asked his disciples to have a boat ready for him because of the crowd, to keep him from being crushed. For he had cured so many that all who were afflicted in any way were crowding forward to touch him. And the unclean spirits, whenever they saw him, would fall down before him and shout, ‘You are the Son of God!’ But he warned them strongly not to make him known.

Today's Pointers on God's Word
As you read the passage what words, phases or meanings caught your attention?
- In today’s Gospel the crowd were enamoured with Jesus as a great healer and proclaimed Him as “The Son of God.” His fame and popularity spread widely and quickly.
- However, Jesus was aware that His Father’s Will must be foremost in His ministry. Thus, He was conscious that we cannot allow situations to dictate and control us, but respect the Kairos – God’s Time and Providence.
- When we want to serve God and do His Will, how often do we find ourselves to be impatient and look for quick results and thus cannot “wait” for God’s plan to unfold over time?
