Reflection on the WORD
Obedience to God’s Word: In today’s Gospel, Jesus proclaimed that the greatest blessings that anyone can experience, is when he is obedient to His Father’s Word and Truthof Salvation. Ponder on: Mary’s obedience to God the Father’s Word was the most perfect at the Annunciation. Her fidelity remained totally selfless and wholehearted throughout her life.
Luke 11:27-28
As Jesus was speaking, a woman in the crowd raised her voice and said, ‘Blessed the womb that bore you and the breasts that fed you!’
But he replied, ‘More blessed still are those who hear the word of God and keep it!’

- What does hearing the Word of God and living it mean? It means putting God at the centre of our lives and making Him our first love in everything.
- Christ has shown us how to live as fully and selflessly as we can, to the point of laying down His life for His Father’s Greater Glory.
- How are we living our daily lives? Do we live the Word of God as expressed above, and see how all relationships can only grow and mature if we have God at the centre of our lives?
