Reflection on the WORD
Fidelity in Faith: In today’s Gospel, Jesus proclaims to His disciples that they are to remain faithful to the Good News of Salvation at all times; as they are never alone. God will always Protect and Provide for them in their needs. Ponder on: Is our fidelity in our faith to God firm only in “good times, but weak when we are facing trials and pains?
Luke 12:8-12
Jesus said to his disciples: ‘I tell you, if anyone openly declares himself for me in the presence of men, the Son of Man will declare himself for him in the presence of God's angels. But the man who disowns me in the presence of men will be disowned in the presence of God's angels.’
‘Everyone who says a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but he who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven.’
‘When they take you before synagogues and magistrates and authorities, do not worry about how to defend yourselves or what to say, because when the time comes, the Holy Spirit will teach you what you must say.’

Today's Pointers on God's Word
As you read the passage what words, phases or meanings caught your attention?
- •Jesus in today’s Gospel reminds us not to be embarrassed of Him, let alone “disown” Him in our daily living.
- •Do we follow the “crowds” e.g. their un-Christian lifestyles, attitudes etc. and thus “disown” Our Lord?
- •Do we lead exemplary lives, so that Christ’s message of Salvation is witnessed by our fellow believers and non-believers? Bring these reflections to prayer and speak to the Lord about it. Listen to what He has to say to you.
