Reflection on the WORD
Mary – Word of God: In today’s Gospel episode, Jesus expresses His deepest Love for His Mother. This is more so because of her single-minded and total commitment to the living of His Father’s Will. Ponder on: Like Mary, do we reflect on and live God’s Word with fidelity in spite of the temptations, trials and challenges of our lives?
Luke 11:27-28
As Jesus was speaking, a woman in the crowd raised her voice and said, ‘Happy the womb that bore you and the breasts you sucked!’
But he replied, ‘Still happier those who hear the word of God and keep it!’

- •Jesus emphatically says that those who keep the word of God in their lives are really the blessed ones, just like His Mother.
- •We all have many opportunities to live the Gospel values in our daily life by taking part in Church ministries, and witnessing these values in our homes, work place, neigbourhood and the like.
- •Our aim in life should be to live in God’s ways. The lives of saints provide us with many examples. Let us pray daily for the grace to live in God’s ways.
