Reflection on the WORD
God’s Word – Unites: In today’s Gospel, Jesus proclaims that the greatest importance in life and the deepest of all relationships is to obey and live God’s Will. Ponder on: Do we treat God as of secondary importance to our family? If we love God fully, we would know how to love our family and others, wholeheartedly.
Luke 8:19-21
The mother and brothers of Jesus came looking for him, but they could not get to him because of the crowd.
He was told, ‘Your mother and brothers are standing outside and want to see you.’ But he said in answer, ‘My mother and my brothers are those who hear the word of God and put it into practice.’

Today's Pointers on God's Word
As you read the passage what words, phases or meanings caught your attention?
- •Jesus gave the greatest compliment to His Mother because she died to her own needs, plans and dreams of life to do the Will of God.
- •God’s Will was foremost in her mind and heart. Her life was filled with pain, trials and suffering, yet she never looked back.
- •Pray for the graces to imitate Mother Mary as the model of our lives and to live our faith fervently and faithfully just like her. This will help to allow the sacredness within us, which is God’s Will, to prevail at all times.
