Reflection on the WORD
Holy Spirit – Truth: In today’s Gospel, Jesus proclaimed, “If you love Me, you will keep My commandments; the Holy Spirit will teach you everything that I have said to you.” Ponder on: Loving God and fidelity to His Commandments cannot be done without the Holy Spirit’s Light, Inspirations and Strength. Holiness comes from God.
John 14:15-16, 23b-26
Jesus said to his disciples: ‘If you love me you will keep my commandments. I shall ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate to be with you for ever.
‘If anyone loves me he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we shall come to him and make our home with him. Those who do not love me do not keep my words. And my word is not my own; it is the word of the one who sent me. I have said these things to you while still with you; but the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you everything and remind you of all I have said to you.’

- •The same Holy Spirit of Jesus also empowers us and all the baptized persons to live their baptismal promises faithfully and courageously as God’s Advocate and Comforter.
- •“Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Your faithful, and enkindle in them the fire of Your love. Send forth Your spirit to renew the face of the earth”. Are we fully aware and in touch with this divine power within us daily?
