Reflection on the WORD
Faith – Sincerity: In today’s Gospel, Jesus urges His disciples to proclaim and witness the Gospel with sincerity and courage, regardless of the challenges we face. Ponder on, “Recall the times when the Holy Spirit clearly enlightened, guided and empowered you to be Christ-like. Speak to the Spirit who is in your heart.”
Luke 12:8-12
Jesus said to his disciples: ‘I tell you, if anyone openly declares himself for me in the presence of men, the Son of Man will declare himself for him in the presence of God's angels. But the man who disowns me in the presence of men will be disowned in the presence of God's angels.
‘Everyone who says a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but he who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven.
‘When they take you before synagogues and magistrates and authorities, do not worry about how to defend yourselves or what to say, because when the time comes, the Holy Spirit will teach you what you must say.’

Today's Pointers on God's Word
As you read the passage what words, phases or meanings caught your attention?
- •Jesus challenges us with a direct question, “Are we ashamed of God?” If we are, then He too will be ashamed of us.
- •We are “ashamed of God” only if our faith in Him is shaky and if He does not mean much to us in our daily living and pursuits of life.
- •Review and renew your relationship with God today. Have a heart-to-heart conversation with Him in the silence of your heart.
