Reflection on the WORD
“Come to Me”: In today’s Gospel, Jesus invites all of us, “Come to Me, all you who labour and are overburdened . . .” When we go to Jesus with our needs, we must go with a sincere heart that wants to live and loveHis Father Will. In doing so, we will find His Peace and Fulfilment that the world cannot give.
Matthew 11:28-30
Jesus exclaimed: ‘Come to me, all you who labour and are overburdened, and I will give you rest. Shoulder my yoke and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. Yes, my yoke is easy and my burden light.’

Today's Pointers on God's Word
As you read the passage what words, phases or meanings caught your attention?
- Jesus said, “Come to me all you who labour and are overburdened, and I will give you rest.... my yoke is easy and my burden light.” .
- Do you take what Jesus said in today’s Gospel seriously? Do you really believe that He can relieve you from your problems, pain and even sins?
- If we keep close to Christ we will truly experience our burdens and crosses in life to be “easy and light,” as they all take on a different meaning. Ponder on this Truth for a few moments and try to sense what the Holy Spirit is trying to say to you.
