Reflection on the WORD
Trusting Jesus: In today’s Gospel, Jesus says to His disciples, “I am the Way, the Truth and the Life.” Do we have the wisdom to follow Jesus, instead of the being lured by the voices and attractions of the world that will eventually destroy our lives, family and even faith? Ponder on your present quality of living.
John 14:1-6
Jesus said to his disciples: ‘Do not let your hearts be troubled. You trust in God, trust also in me. In my Father's house there are many places to live in; otherwise I would have told you. I am going now to prepare a place for you, and after I have gone and prepared you a place, I shall return to take you to myself, so that you may be with me where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going.’
Thomas said, ‘Lord, we do not know where you are going, so how can we know the way?’ Jesus said: ‘I am the Way; I am Truth and Life. No one can come to the Father except through me.’

Today's Pointers on God's Word
As you read the passage what words, phases or meanings caught your attention?
- •Jesus is again reassuring us that our destination in life is eternal happiness in heaven.
- •For many of us, we do not want to face the reality of death. Perhaps, if we dare to face this truth, we will be able to value our limited time on this earth and begin to see that everything in this world is transitory.
- •Pray for the graces we need to live a more focused life that does not squander the precious time and opportunities on mere superficialities, but to use them to live in God’s ways and prepare ourselves for eternal life with Him.
