Reflection on the WORD
Evangelisation: In today’s Gospel, Jesus commissions His Apostles, “Go out to the whole world, proclaim the Gospel to all creation.” Jesus is Saviour and Lord to all peoples; not just a select few. As we are blessed to have the gift of faith, are we conscious of witnessing and drawing others closer to Jesus?
Mk 16:15-20
Jesus showed himself to the Eleven, and he said to them, ‘Go out to the whole world; proclaim the gospel to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptised will be saved; whoever does not believe will be condemned. These are the signs that will be associated with believers: in my name they will cast out devils; they will have the gift of tongues; they will pick up snakes in their hands and be unharmed should they drink deadly poison; they will lay their hands on the sick, who will recover.’
And so the Lord Jesus, after he had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven; there at the right hand of God he took his place, while they, going out, preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word by the signs that accompanied it.

Today's Pointers on God's Word
As you read the passage what words, phases or meanings caught your attention?
- •In today’s Gospel, Jesus commissions His apostles to “Go out to the whole world and proclaim the Gospel of Salvation” to all peoples. He is also “sending” us out to do the same in our daily living.
- •What about the poor, the needy and those who are experiencing much pain in life e.g. illness, depression? Do we bring the Good News to them too? Ponder on the way you live ask yourself, “Am I an effective witness of Jesus’ Gospel of Salvation?”
