Matthew 11:28-30

Jesus exclaimed: ‘Come to me, all you who labour and are overburdened, and I will give you rest. Shoulder my yoke and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

‘Yes, my yoke is easy and my burden light.’

In today’s Gospel Jesus invites each one of us to go to Him with whatever burden we are carrying and He will give us rest for our souls.
Jesus offers us a new kingdom of righteousness, peace, and joy where sins are not only forgiven but removed and eternal life is given to all. Only Jesus can lift the burden of sin and the weight of hopelessness from us.
