Wounded
In War
More than
400 years ago, St Ignatius
of Loyola, was seriously
wounded by a cannon
ball while fighting to defend the
Spanish against the French invaders in Pamplona,
Spain.
His right leg
was broken while the other was injured so badly
but he was treated well by the French because they
admired his courage. He
was then sent back to his home in Loyola.
