Wounded In War

More than 400 years ago, St Ignatius of Loyola, was seriously wounded by a cannon ball while fighting to defend the Spanish against the French invaders in Pamplona, Spain.

His right leg was broken while the other was injured so badly but he was treated well by the French because they admired his courage. He was then sent back to his home in Loyola.
