A priest devotes his life in performing sacred ministries of worshipping God and the salvation of souls. He is ordained to act in the Person of Christ.

Religious congregations reach out to people in a variety of ministries and church services. The charism and common life of religious differs from community to community.

John 15:19
If you belonged to the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you do not belong to the world, because my choice of you has drawn you out of the world, that is why the world hates you.

Single individuals dedicate their lives completely to God through vows of Chastity, Poverty and Obedience;

However, they still lead an ordinary life, living alone or with family or friends.

Matthew 19:12
For there are different reasons why men cannot marry; some because they were born that way; others, because men made them that way; and others do not marry for the sake of the Kingdom of heaven. Let him who can accept this teaching do so.

The sacrament of Matrimony signifies the union of Christ and the Church. It gives spouses the grace to love each other with the love with which Christ has loved his Church; the grace of the sacrament thus perfects the human love of the spouses, strengthens their indissoluble unity, and sanctifies them on the way to eternal life.

Eph 5: 25; 32
Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the Church.... This is a great mystery, and I mean in reference to Christ and the Church.

The Christian home is the place where children receive the first proclamation of the faith. For this reason the family home is rightly called the domestic church, a community of grace and prayer, a school of human virtues and of Christian charity.
