the journey

November - December

The most significant event in a young Jesuit's life is the experience of the 30-day retreat. This intensive time of prayer grants the grace of "loving Jesus more dearly and following him more nearly"

This 30-day experience, called the Spiritual Excercises, was written by St Ignatius of Loyola and is done by all Jesuits

View of the Major Seminary at dusk.

Retreatants are urged in the "first week" of the Spiritual Exercices to contemplate on God's creative action in the universe.

God creates truly beautiful sunsets reminding us of his constant presence.

Final blessing for those who have completed the Exercises.
